Position Overview:

This position will drive community engagement and growth within the Entrepreneurs for Global Change (EGC) ecosystem and is pivotal in fostering connections among founders, mentors, and partners, as well as organizing events that enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing within our startup community. As the Startup Community Coordinator, you will ensure that our community remains engaged and fully supported throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with startup community management, entrepreneurship support programs, and event planning. Previous experience in entrepreneurship initiatives, startup ecosystems, or related activities within the Western Balkans is highly desirable.

You will take the lead in interacting with our program alumni members, planning and supporting the execution of events in the region, communicating with founders and alumni, engaging partners, and providing critical support to our program participants. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success and growth of the startups within our network. The position is set to begin on October 1st.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Engagement and Development:
    • Cultivate and maintain a dynamic and inclusive community of entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry experts within the EGC ecosystem.
    • Act as the primary liaison for program participants, offering ongoing support, resources, and mentorship to help them thrive.
    • Develop and execute community engagement strategies, including regular check-ins, surveys, and feedback loops to enhance member interaction and satisfaction.
    • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among community members, encouraging peer-to-peer learning and support.
  2. Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Organize and manage a variety of community-building events, such as workshops, webinars, demo days, and networking sessions, both online and in-person.
    • Handle all logistics for events, including scheduling, venue selection, participant communication, and coordination with external speakers and partners.
    • Collaborate with the EGC team to ensure that all events are aligned with our mission and provide value to our community.
    • Post-event follow-up, including gathering feedback, analyzing outcomes, and implementing improvements for future events.
  3. Program Support:
    • Assist in the design and implementation of EGC’s incubator programs, ensuring a smooth experience for all participants from onboarding to program completion.
    • Manage communication channels between participants, mentors, and partners to facilitate effective and timely information sharing.
    • Support the creation and distribution of program materials, including schedules, resource guides, and post-program surveys.
    • Provide administrative support related to program logistics, including managing participant databases and coordinating schedules.
  4. Partnerships and Outreach:
    • Identify and engage with potential regional and global partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to enhance the resources and opportunities available to the EGC community.
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration and mutual benefit.
    • Represent EGC at regional startup events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build awareness and promote our programs.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 2-3 years of experience in community management, event coordination, or a related role, ideally within the startup ecosystem, incubators, or accelerators.
    • Proven experience in organizing and executing both online and in-person events, with a strong understanding of event logistics and participant engagement.
    • Previous work in the Western Balkans region, with a solid understanding of the local startup ecosystem, entrepreneurial landscape, and key industry players.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including founders, mentors, and partners.
    • Proficiency in digital tools for community management, such as Slack, Discord, or similar platforms, as well as social media engagement.
