BOLD Program Intern

Position Overview:

Entrepreneurs for Global Change (EGC) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as the BOLD Program Intern. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about entrepreneurship, program management, and social impact to contribute to the success of the BOLD Program, a flagship initiative of the U.S. State Department implemented by EGC.

This is a paid internship. A stipend will be provided to support the intern’s contribution to the program.

As the BOLD Program Intern, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing EGC’s entrepreneurship incubator programs taking place in New York City. Your responsibilities will include program logistics, cohort coordination, workshop facilitation, event planning, and outreach efforts to ensure seamless execution of program activities. This position requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including program participants, speakers, and mentors.

In addition to logistical tasks, you will have the unique opportunity to learn from leading startup and industry experts while working alongside program participants, contributing directly to their growth and empowerment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of program logistics and activities.
  • Support communication and coordination with program participants, mentors, and guest speakers.
  • Co-manage workshop and event logistics, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, tracking program milestones, and preparing materials.
  • Contribute to outreach efforts to engage potential partners and stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of program reports and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure program goals and deadlines are met.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or interest in entrepreneurship programs, incubators, accelerators, or related initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and platforms.
  • Background knowledge and passion for entrepreneurship and startups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach to work.

Entrepreneurs for Global Change (EGC) is a social impact organization based in New York City dedicated to empowering young founders from emerging global ecosystems. Through innovative incubator and training programs, we support the next generation of entrepreneurs, helping them transform their ideas into impactful ventures.

Requirements:

  • Must be a resident in the NY tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut).
  • Must possess a valid U.S. work permit for the duration of the internship.

Availability:

  • Able to allocate 20 hours per week for in-person work.
  • Willing to attend daytime and evening events as part of program responsibilities.

Educational Background:

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (e.g., business, entrepreneurship, finance, project management, or a related field).
